Electrical Power Systems Engineering Team Lead

At Millennium Space Systems, we are seeking a highly skilled Electrical Power Systems Engineering Team Manager to lead our team in delivering affordable, high-performance space systems for exacting customers.
The successful candidate will have a degree in electrical, computer, or other relevant engineering and at least 6 years of experience developing and manufacturing EPS systems for satellites.
Key responsibilities will include managing staffing, developing internal team processes, providing staff to support program SV developments, and coordinating with other engineering teams, programs, and products to provide staff, solve technical tasks, resolve discrepancies, and improve internal processes.
The ideal candidate will have methodical design, testing, and troubleshooting capabilities, as well as outstanding communication and presentation skills.

Responsibilities:
- Manage staffing and develop internal team processes
- Provide staff to support program SV developments
- Coordinate with other engineering teams, programs, and products
- Develop and maintain EPS team and processes
- Mentor, train, motivate, and develop EPS staff
- Manage EPS team and staff, including personnel reviews, tasking, and work scope
- Identify, communicate, and assist in the risk management process
- Assign EPS staff to programs and products and evaluate technical performance
- Maintain documentation for current products, including technical, schedule, and costing information
- Work with the engineering organization, business development, programs, and manufacturing to develop a product roadmap that aligns to Millennium corporate objectives
- Work with hardware engineering director to develop, evaluate, and refine technical processes and standards for the EPS team
Requirements:
- Degree in electrical, computer, or other relevant engineering
- At least 6 years of experience developing and manufacturing EPS systems for satellites
- At least 2 years as a Responsible Engineering Authority, Project Lead, Control Account Manager, or equivalent
- Methodical design, testing, and troubleshooting capabilities
- Outstanding communication and presentation skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in qualifying space avionics
- Ability to obtain TS/SCI clearance
