Job Summary

Central Maine Medical Center is seeking a highly skilled Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist to join our team. As a CRNA, you will be responsible for administering anesthesia and anesthesia-related care to patients undergoing surgical procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Administer anesthesia and anesthesia-related care to patients undergoing surgical procedures
  • Monitor and support vital life functions
  • Act as the patient's advocate while the patient is under anesthesia
  • Participate in performance improvement and continuous quality improvement activities
  • Develop, implement, and document an anesthetic plan of care
  • Collect and interpret patient physiological data
  • Manage the patient's airway and pulmonary status
  • Perform smooth induction and emergence of anesthesia
  • Prevent and manage complications
  • Document all pertinent events during anesthesia care
Requirements
  • Current Registered Nurse License in the State of Maine
  • Graduate of a nurse anesthesia educational program accredited by the AANA Council on Accreditation of Nurse Anesthesia Educational Programs
  • Current certification and recertification from AANA Council on Certification and recertification of Nurse Anesthetists
  • Current American Heart Association Healthcare Provider BLS
Preferred Qualifications
  • Basic computer knowledge
  • Working knowledge of anesthesia equipment
  • Advanced pharmacology knowledge
