Information Systems Manager

The Information Systems Manager is a key member of the IT Infrastructure and Operations Team, responsible for overseeing the management of computer systems, troubleshooting IT issues, and ensuring the smooth operation of the company's IT infrastructure. This role requires strong leadership and technical skills, with a focus on driving operational and service management processes to achieve quality, efficiency, and agility objectives.
Key Responsibilities- Team Management: Lead a team of direct reports responsible for server infrastructure, overseeing the monitoring, troubleshooting, and maintenance of Windows and Linux servers and systems.
- Operational Procedures: Create and manage operational procedures, records, documents, and technical diagrams to ensure streamlined workflows and documentation accuracy.
- Performance Evaluation: Oversee and evaluate the productivity and performance of IT staff, conducting performance reviews and prioritizing tasks to optimize team efficiency.
- Emergency Response: Participate in on-call assignments and respond to emergencies for after-hours support, while also strategizing and developing long-term schedules for timely updates to company computer systems and cybersecurity measures.
- Technology Assessment: Investigate new business technologies and IT software solutions, assessing their suitability to enhance the organization's computer systems and implementing software programs and innovative technologies aligned with organizational goals.
- Business Partnerships: Act as a key liaison for internal business partners, ensuring timely delivery of products and services that support and align with business operations.
- Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in computer science, information systems, business administration, or a related field, or equivalent years of experience.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in supporting systems as an administrator, analyst, engineer, or related role, and minimum of 2 years of supervisor/managerial experience.
- Cloud Services: Experience with cloud-based services, preferably AWS, and at least one or more of the following industry certifications/endorsements: AWS, Azure, Microsoft, Nutanix, and VMWare.
- Skills: Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills, good communication and collaboration skills, and client management skills to include buy-in on new solutions.
- Business Acumen: Knowledgeable in current and possible future policies, practices, trends, technology, and information affecting the business and organization.
- Communicate for Impact: Devoting time and resources necessary to communicate the strategic vision, direction, priorities, and progress of the team.
- Leading People: Ability to develop and implement strategies to maximize employee performance and foster employee engagement in meeting the organization's strategy.
- Managing Transitions/Change Management: Effectively plans, manages, and communicates changes in processes with appropriate stakeholders.
- Relationship Management: Building and maintaining relationships with internal partners to successfully complete projects and organizational objectives.
- Strategic Agility: Gains perspective and balances the pressure between daily tasks and strategic actions that impact the long-term viability of the organization.
- This position is expected to travel approximately 25% or less.
