Sheetmetal Foreman

Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Sheetmetal Foreman / Lead Mechanic to join our team at Southern Air, Inc. in Lynchburg, VA. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading the installation and repair of commercial HVAC systems, ensuring high-quality workmanship, and providing exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and supervise field crews in the installation and repair of commercial HVAC systems
• Read and interpret drawings and P&ID schematics to ensure accurate installation
• Provide hands-on leadership and training to junior technicians
• Ensure jobs are completed on schedule and to the highest quality standards
• Communicate effectively with clients, customers, and vendors to ensure satisfaction and resolve any issues

Requirements:

• Five years of experience in the Sheet Metal field (Lead Mechanic)
• Eight years of experience in the Sheet Metal field (Foreman)
• Ability to read and interpret drawings and P&ID schematics
• Strong communication and documentation skills
• Ability to work independently and as a team member
