Job Description

At G-CON, we are seeking a highly skilled Automation Engineer to join our team. As an Automation Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing automation solutions for our pharmaceutical clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Automation Software Development: Develop high-quality automation software programs that can be easily validated, utilizing Siemens TIA Portal and other relevant tools.
  • AutoCad Design: Create P&ID drawings, instrumentation plan sets, and PLC layout and schematic drawings for UL508A panels based on I/O lists.
  • Documentation Generation: Generate sequence of operations documents, functional design specifications, and commissioning strategy documentation.
  • Acceptance Testing Activity Execution: Assist in Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) and Site Acceptance Testing (SAT) activities to ensure proper functioning of software.
  • Supports External Departments as Needed: Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless integration between automation and POD mechanical systems.
Requirements
  • Education and/or Experience: Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent experience in automation software development.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in PLC or microcontroller programming, AutoCad Electrical software, and industrial communications protocols (BACNet, OPC/UA, ControlNet, Ethernet/IP, Modbus TCP).
  • Language Abilities: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to read and comprehend technical instructions and documents.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in Pharmaceutical Cleanrooms: Familiarity with cGMP standards and experience working in cleanroom environments.
  • Knowledge of HVAC Systems: Understanding of HVAC system design, common control strategies, installation, and sequence of operations.
  • FactoryTalk Batch, AssetCenter, VantagePoint, PlantPAX Experience: Experience with these tools and technologies is highly desirable.
