Position Overview:
The Regional Human Resources Manager plays a pivotal role in our Des Plaines Distribution Center, overseeing the implementation and execution of the HR strategy across multiple locations.

This position encompasses direct oversight of the Des Plaines, IL facility, along with additional facilities in Washington, Colorado, and California.

The role reports to the HR Director and includes leadership of a team of three HR professionals dedicated to regional support.


Work Schedule:
Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM to 5 PM, onsite

Travel Requirements:
Up to 50% travel is expected, including quarterly visits to all supported facilities and an annual trip to Corporate.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Provide on-site HR support at the Des Plaines, IL distribution center by leading HR initiatives and objectives.
2. Manage a team of three HR business partners to support distribution centers in Denver, CO, Tacoma, WA, and Fontana, CA.
3. Guide and influence leadership in employee relations, legal compliance, staffing strategies, and disciplinary processes.
4. Oversee performance management across all four locations, including talent reviews, annual performance evaluations, succession planning, and training initiatives.
5. Conduct investigations in Des Plaines, IL, and mentor HR associates to ensure comprehensive investigations and resolutions.
6. Manage administrative functions in Des Plaines, including payroll adjustments, I-9 management, and file maintenance, while identifying opportunities for process improvements.
7. Support union activities, including grievance resolution and bargaining strategies in the Fontana, CA location.

Qualifications:
- Proven experience as the lead HR professional in a distribution or manufacturing setting.
- A minimum of a Bachelor's degree, preferably in HR or Business.

Essential Skills and Knowledge:
- Comprehensive training in HR competencies such as talent management, employment law, compensation and benefits, organizational planning, development, employee relations, performance management, recruitment, and health and safety.
- At least five years of progressive leadership experience in Human Resources roles.
- Preferred candidates will have 3-4 years of experience in a distribution center or manufacturing environment with a workforce of 40 or more.
