GENERAL OVERVIEW:

The Store Operations Supervisor plays a crucial role within the Store Leadership team, overseeing a designated area of the store while also managing overall store operations during shifts as the Manager on Duty. This position is accountable for opening and closing procedures, supervising team members, and fostering a welcoming shopping atmosphere. The Supervisor ensures that merchandise is displayed appropriately and that the work environment remains clean and organized.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Safety and Security Management:

  • Prioritizes safety in all activities and promotes safe practices among team members.
  • Maintains vigilance on the sales floor to ensure a secure shopping experience for customers and staff, promptly addressing any unsafe conditions.
  • Oversees building security, including access control and daily checks of security systems.
  • Ensures clear pathways to emergency exits and manages clutter effectively.
  • Responsible for customer safety, including accident prevention and emergency response protocols.
  • Conducts scheduled tests of fire alarm systems and responds to alarms as necessary.

Customer Engagement:

  • Treats all customers and associates with respect and professionalism.
  • Exhibits courtesy and friendliness, recognizing team members through company recognition initiatives.

Brand Representation:

  • Upholds and promotes the company brand consistently.
  • Maintains a professional appearance in line with company dress standards and ensures compliance among associates.
  • Ensures cleanliness and organization throughout the store.

Merchandising Responsibilities:

  • Ensures merchandise recovery, sizing, and markdowns are completed according to company standards.
  • Handles incoming merchandise deliveries and ensures efficient processing.
  • Maintains cleanliness and organization in stockrooms and assists in merchandising on the sales floor.
  • Monitors compliance with monthly presentation guidelines in the assigned area.

Loss Prevention:

  • Adheres to the Loss Prevention Awareness Program, maintaining a strong customer service presence to deter loss.
  • Demonstrates integrity in all interactions, safeguarding confidential information and assets.

Front End Operations:

  • Implements company best practices to enhance productivity and efficiency at the front end.
  • Manages customer flow to minimize wait times and trains associates on front end procedures.

Administrative Duties:

  • Ensures compliance with cash handling and payroll procedures.
  • Handles scheduling and administrative tasks as assigned by the Store Manager.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Strong verbal communication skills and fluency in English.
  • Previous experience in customer service and supervisory roles is preferred.
  • Familiarity with point-of-sale systems and basic math skills relevant to retail.
  • Availability to work evenings and weekends as required.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

Ability to perform various physical tasks, including standing, walking, lifting, and using store equipment as needed.

SUPERVISORY ROLE:

Responsible for overseeing retail associates and stockroom leads where applicable.
