Nutrition & Culinary Services Director

Presbyterian Homes & Services is seeking a highly skilled Nutrition & Culinary Services Director to lead our team in delivering exceptional dining experiences to our residents. As a key member of our site leadership team, you will be responsible for planning, organizing, and directing the Nutrition & Culinary Services staff and program to ensure high-quality customer meals and dining services.

Responsibilities
  • Oversee the meal preparation and service process, ensuring compliance with established menus, regulations, and best practices.
  • Develop and implement menus and recipes that are attractive, nutritious, and palatable, with a focus on customer requests and satisfaction.
  • Maintain accurate meal documentation records and establish effective communication systems with all customers.
  • Create a positive dining experience for residents, promoting their independence, choice, and overall well-being.
  • Encourage resident participation in the dining program and meal activities.
  • Oversee the entire dining process for all residents, including meal preparation, service, and cleanup.
  • Collaborate with the site leadership team to develop and implement strategies and programming that achieve short and long-term operational goals and objectives.
Qualifications
  • Enrolled in or a graduate of a dietary manager course with current state certification.
  • Three to five years' leadership experience in food service, with demonstrated competencies in food service management and operations, quality management, staff development, cooking, clinical nutrition for the elderly, and community outreach.
  • Demonstrated ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English language to communicate with all customers.
  • Flexibility, personal integrity, and the ability to work effectively with residents, coworkers, family members, visitors, and the general public.
