Job Description

Job Summary

The General Manager will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our restaurant, ensuring exceptional guest experiences, and driving business growth. This is a leadership role that requires a strong passion for the hospitality industry, excellent communication skills, and the ability to motivate and develop a high-performing team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operations Management
    • Oversee the daily operations of the restaurant, including ordering, purchasing, receiving, storage, and preparation of all food products.
    • Ensure that all food products meet company recipe specifications for preparation and quality.
    • Manage the flow of business during business hours, being active in all areas of the restaurant (front desk, bar/lounge, kitchen, and main dining room).
  • Financial Management
    • Responsible for financial operations of the restaurant, including forecasting sales and labor budget (annual, weekly, daily).
    • Approve all schedules and payroll, OT, and any exceptions.
  • Leadership and Development
    • Lead and support the rest of the Management team to set goals and successfully achieve results.
    • Recognize and reward crewmembers for their contributions and achievements.
    • Develop and implement training programs to ensure that all crewmembers have the skills and knowledge needed to excel in their roles.
  • Guest Experience
    • Touch guest tables each shift to build relationships, ensure return visits, and troubleshoot any issues that arise.
    • Ensure that all guest interactions are professional and courteous.
  • Communication and Collaboration
    • Communicate effectively with all stakeholders, including crewmembers, managers, and external partners.
    • Collaborate with other managers to achieve business objectives and drive growth.
Requirements
  • Experience
    • At least 7 years of experience as a Manager in a full-service, high-volume restaurant.
    • 2 years of experience as a General Manager in a full-service casual or fine dining restaurant of similar concept.
  • Education
    • College degree in a related field, such as business or hotel and restaurant management, preferred.
  • Skills
    • Strong leadership and management skills.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to motivate and develop a high-performing team.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing circumstances.
