Role Summary:

As a pivotal leader within the Customer Service division, the Customer Service Team Leader will take charge of the team’s performance, guiding, motivating, assessing, and approving the work of Customer Service Agents.

Key Responsibilities:

Oversee the Customer Service Agents during shifts, ensuring the team meets the shared objectives of Alaska Airlines.

Monitor adherence to established procedures by Customer Service Agents.

Execute leadership tasks such as assigning daily flights, scheduling, and managing agent shifts weekly.

Additional responsibilities may include administrative tasks, report generation, and addressing unexpected passenger inquiries or concerns.

The Team Leader will also fulfill the duties of a Customer Service Agent as needed.

Job-Specific Experience, Education & Skills:

Required:
  • At least 6 months of experience in customer service within an airport setting.
  • Proven ability to lead, inspire, and drive team performance.
  • Excellent active listening and verbal communication skills.
  • Capability to manage multiple tasks in a dynamic environment.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Ability to obtain USPS Mail Handling Certification, if required.
  • Typing speed of a minimum of 25 WPM.
  • Capacity to lift up to 50 pounds consistently.
  • Willingness to stand for extended periods.
  • Ability to bend, stoop, squat, reach, and grasp.
  • Basic mathematical skills.
  • Flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Proficiency in English communication.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum age of 18.
  • Authorization to work in the U.S.
Preferred:
  • 1 year of customer service experience in an airport environment.
  • Previous leadership experience.
