About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and customer-focused Ramp and Customer Service Agent to join our team at Horizon Air. As a key member of our airport team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and ensuring the smooth operation of our ground handling and ramp services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide excellent customer service to our guests, responding to their needs and resolving any issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Assist with the loading and unloading of baggage and cargo, as well as the marshaling of aircraft.
  • Perform aircraft grooming and security searches, ensuring that our aircraft are clean and secure.
  • Assist with boarding and gate duties, including making announcements and processing standby and upgrade requests.
  • Process and secure guest luggage, including filing and maintaining luggage claims as necessary.
  • Load and offload luggage and cargo using conveyor belts.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management, ensuring complete guest satisfaction.
Requirements
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to juggle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Valid unexpired driver's license issued by a US state, a US territory, or the District of Columbia.
  • Ability to learn and operate a computerized reservation system.
  • Typing speed of at least 25 WPM.
  • Ability to consistently lift 50 pounds.
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time.
  • Ability to bend, stoop, squat, reach, and grasp.
  • Ability to perform basic mathematics.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Ability to participate in paid training that may require overnight travel.
  • Depending on work location, ability to obtain USPS Mail Handling Certification.
  • Ability to obtain airport security clearance.
  • Ability to communicate in English.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum age of 18.
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
Preferred Qualifications
  • A minimum of 1 year of customer service or community service experience.
