The company also hosts KCON, the largest Korean pop culture convention, which has grown significantly since its inception.

Position Summary: CJ ENM America is on the lookout for enthusiastic interns to become part of its scripted television division. Candidates should exhibit a keen interest in understanding the global television landscape, particularly in scripted series development and the creative process. Ideal applicants are those pursuing or recently completing a degree in film, media studies, or English/creative writing. This is a compensated part-time internship based in Downtown Los Angeles.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate creative materials (scripts, novels, webtoons, etc.) and deliver insightful written feedback for development executives.
  • Compose episodic summaries for CJ ENM's Korean drama formats and intellectual properties.
  • Conduct research on potential project concepts and trending topics to support creative initiatives.
  • If bilingual, assist in translating and localizing creative documents between Korean and English.
  • Perform general administrative tasks as required.

Qualifications:

  • Must be enrolled in a college/university or have graduated within the last six months.
  • A strong passion for television and international scripted content is essential.
  • Applicants must be at least 18 years old.
  • Unrestricted work authorization is required.
  • Fluency in Korean is advantageous but not mandatory.
  • Proficiency in standard computer applications (Microsoft Suite, Google Suite, etc.) is necessary.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills are a must.
