Job Description

The Information Technology team at Russell Tobin & Associates is supporting a leading sports, apparel, and equipment brand with an opening for an Android Mobile Solutions Engineer.

Location: Remote

Duration: 18 months plus

Pay Range: $80/hr-$90/hr on W2 (DOE)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and deploy scalable, secure, and highly available Android mobile solutions that meet client's business needs across multiple geographies.
  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to multi-functional teams, ensuring alignment with company objectives and industry trends.
  • Identify opportunities for innovation and develop proof-of-concepts (POCs) or minimum viable products (MVPs) to demonstrate the value of new technologies or approaches.
  • Collaborate with business leaders, product managers, and engineering teams to understand requirements and design solutions.
  • Contribute to the development of the client's technology roadmap, mentor and coach engineers, sharing knowledge and expertise to help them grow in their careers.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or similar field or relevant professional experience, education, and training.
  • Minimum 12+ years of experience in software engineering, with a focus on Android mobile engineering.
  • Experience in designing, developing, and deploying premium, performant, secure, and stable Android-based solutions.
  • Deep expertise in Kotlin, including design, development, and deployment.
  • Strong technical leadership skills, with experience guiding multi-functional teams and influencing technical direction.
  • Knowledge of Agile development methodologies and Scrum framework.
  • Innovative problem-solving skills, with a track record of developing creative solutions to complex technical challenges.
  • Familiarity with DevOps practices, such as continuous integration and delivery (CI/CD).
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work optimally with both technical and non-technical partners.
