About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Memory Care Director to lead our team at Oakmont Management Group. As a key member of our senior living community, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional dementia care services and creating a supportive environment for our residents.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Oversight: Provide general oversight of all aspects of the Traditions (Memory Care) neighborhood, ensuring the delivery of dementia care services exceeds resident and family expectations.
  • Dementia Care Expertise: Offer dementia expertise and resources in collaboration with community leaders to develop and execute personalized care plans.
  • Staff Management: Recruit, train, motivate, and retain team members to ensure a safe and secure environment for residents and staff.
  • Compliance and Safety: Ensure compliance with state regulations and maintain a safe environment by following established safety standards.
  • Communication and Collaboration: Communicate effectively with residents, families, visitors, co-workers, and supervisors to ensure a positive and supportive environment.
  • Activity and Dining Support: Support resident participation in activities and dining, ensuring an engaging and dynamic experience.
  • Health Services Coordination: Assist the Health Services Director in coordinating medical, dental, vision, hearing, and podiatry care for residents.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience: Prefer two years of experience working with persons with dementia and one year of experience supervising and managing employees.
  • Certifications and Licenses: Hold or able to obtain one or more certifications related to Dementia care, such as Certified Dementia Practitioner (CDP), Certified Alzheimer's Caregiver (CAC), or Certified Alzheimer's Educator (CAE).
  • Physical and Mental Demands: Able to obtain and maintain valid first aid and CPR certification, and pass a Criminal Background check and Health Screening tests.
