RN Clinical Nurse II- Neurosurgery/ENT Acute Care Unit- 7 Neuroscience

This position is an exciting opportunity to join the UNC Health team as a Clinical Nurse II in the Neurosurgery/ENT Acute Care Unit. As a member of our team, you will provide high-quality patient care and work collaboratively with a dynamic and supportive team to deliver exceptional patient outcomes.
Responsibilities- Provide competent clinical nursing care to patients with complex neurological and ENT conditions, including post-operative brain and spinal surgeries, cancer, neuro- and spinal-trauma, and stroke.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized patient care plans, prioritizing patient needs and ensuring seamless transitions of care.
- Utilize advanced clinical skills, including airway management, tracheal suctioning, drains, and feeding tubes, to provide comprehensive patient care.
- Participate in ongoing education and professional development to stay current with best practices and evidence-based care.
- Contribute to a positive and inclusive work environment, promoting teamwork, respect, and open communication among colleagues.
- Graduation from a school of professional nursing.
- One (1) year of nursing experience.
- Licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse in the state of North Carolina.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Provider certification.
