Position Overview
The Gender Equality Initiatives Program aims to support organizations dedicated to transforming harmful gender norms and promoting the well-being and empowerment of women and girls. As a vital member of our small team, the Program Coordinator will play a key role in supporting the program's grant management, administrative functions, and external engagement under the guidance of the Program Director. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, a passion for social justice, and excellent organizational abilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Grant Management: Assist in managing the grant lifecycle, including communication with grantees, preparing grant approval materials, and maintaining the program's grants calendar.
- Program Support: Collaborate with the Program Director to identify opportunities for program enhancement and contribute to writing and editing materials for various audiences.
- Administrative Coordination: Oversee scheduling, travel logistics, and meeting arrangements, ensuring smooth program operations.
- External Engagement: Support meetings with external partners, including agenda preparation and logistics, and represent the organization at relevant events.
Qualifications
- Strong commitment to gender equality and social justice.
- Bachelor's degree with at least two years of relevant experience in program support or administration.
- Proficiency in both spoken and written Spanish is required.
- Exceptional communication skills, with experience in drafting reports and engaging diverse audiences.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite or Google Workspace is essential.
- A collaborative spirit and the ability to work well with diverse teams.
