About the Role

The University of Arkansas is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Program Manager to lead the Health Careers Opportunity Program (HCOP) Academy. This is a critical role in diversifying the allied and other healthcare professions in the state of Arkansas by providing structured academic enrichment, training, resources, and support services for students from disadvantaged backgrounds to succeed in health careers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the day-to-day program logistics, including case management, tracking student placement and progress, delivering workshops and trainings, conducting site visits, and reporting evidence for program assessment and evaluation of the project.
  • Develop and implement strategies to increase student recruitment and retention, academic preparation, health education and research training, academic and career counseling, mentoring, and experiential learning activities.
  • Collaborate with university divisions, community agencies, and school districts to provide support services to HCOP Academy participants.
  • Ensure compliance with HRSA grant requirements and maintain accurate records and reports.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in counseling, public health, social work, or related fields.
  • Four (4) years or more counseling or advising experience working with students enrolled in health or educational programs.
  • Master's degree or higher preferred.
