Lake Granbury Medical Center, a 73-bed acute care hospital in Hood County, is seeking a skilled Surgical Care Professional to join its thriving Pre-Op/PACU Department.

About the Role

As a Surgical Care Professional, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality nursing care to patients undergoing surgical procedures. This role requires excellent communication skills, strong organizational habits, and the ability to adapt quickly to changing situations.

Responsibilities
  • Implement physician orders and provide continuity of care for all patients.
  • Evaluate patient conditions and provide safe, comfortable, and private care at all times.
  • Assist anesthesia physicians with regional nerve blocks as needed.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing or Associate's degree from an accredited school of nursing.
  • Certification as a Registered Nurse in the State of Texas.
  • Two years of bedside experience in an acute hospital setting.
  • Current BLS certification.
  • Able to obtain ACLS, PALS, and NIH stroke certification within three months of hire date.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing.
  • Previous experience in Pre-Op/PACU, PCU, or ICU settings.
Work Environment

The Pre-Op/PACU Department operates on a call rotation, requiring employees to respond to calls within 30 minutes.

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary range of $65,000 - $90,000 per year, based on experience and qualifications, plus benefits including health insurance, retirement plan, and paid time off.
