Position Summary:
The Crotched Mountain School, part of Seven Hills New Hampshire, is in search of enthusiastic individuals dedicated to positively impacting the lives of others. We are looking for Residential Support Specialists to guide, oversee, and assist residents with their daily living activities and facilitate scheduled programs.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate with educational and residential service teams to ensure alignment with Individualized Education Plans (IEP) and Individualized Living Plans (ILP).
- Support residents in executing residential programs and daily tasks.
- Maintain accurate records, data collection, and documentation as required.
- Select and supervise activities tailored to each resident's abilities.
- Participate in program and behavioral meetings, orientation, and ongoing training sessions.
- Complete designated household tasks with or without assistance from residents.
- Ensure residents are appropriately dressed, respecting their dignity and rights.
- Advocate for and uphold clients' rights in accordance with established policies and procedures.
- Exhibit a mature and positive demeanor when interacting with residents, staff, and families.
- Fulfill all job responsibilities and accept constructive feedback professionally.
- Perform additional duties as required or directed.
Qualifications
- Must be at least 21 years old.
- High School Diploma or GED is required.
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree is preferred.
- If no degree, a minimum of 2 years of childcare experience or 7 years of parenting experience is necessary.
- Experience in the health and human services sector is highly preferred.
