About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and dedicated Kindergarten Teaching Fellow to join our team at BASIS Phoenix South. As a key member of our educational community, you will play a vital role in supporting the academic success of our students.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist teachers with classroom management and student academic support
  • Provide individualized tutoring and academic guidance to students
  • Help with event planning, lab supervision, and testing
  • Collaborate with teachers to evaluate student progress and develop strategies for improvement
  • Proctor assessments and monitor student behavior
  • Supervise students during non-scheduled time, including Early Bird and Late Bird programs
  • Coordinate homework and assignments for absent students
  • Support the school's Deans and Directors of Student Affairs with behavior management and discipline
  • Assist the school's Directors of Academic Programs with program execution
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree required
  • Willingness to take and pass the NES Elementary Education Assessment, if necessary
  • Ability to acquire and maintain current practices in subject matter knowledge and teaching methodologies
  • Valid Identity Verified Prints (IVP) Fingerprint Clearance Card
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working with students in an educational setting
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
