Job Title: Early Learning Supervisor I-II

Job Summary:

North Coast Opportunities is seeking an experienced Early Learning Supervisor I-II to oversee the daily operations of our Head Start Child Development Program. The successful candidate will be responsible for implementing curriculum, managing staff, and ensuring a safe and nurturing environment for children.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement curriculum aligned with Head Start Performance Standards and California State Preschool Program requirements.
  • Supervise and evaluate staff, providing regular feedback and coaching.
  • Manage daily operations, including staff scheduling, timekeeping, and personnel files.
  • Ensure compliance with Community Care Licensing Regulations, Head Start Performance Standards, and NCO policies and procedures.
  • Communicate effectively with parents, staff, and other stakeholders to promote a positive and inclusive environment.
  • Participate in ongoing program recruitment activities and generate non-federal match documentation.
  • Perform other duties as assigned or required.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Child Development/Early Childhood Education or related field.
  • Minimum of two years of recent early childhood classroom experience.
  • Preference for one year of staff supervision experience and two years' experience working with low-income families.
  • Current California Department of Education (CDE) Site Supervisor Permit or higher.
  • Infant and Child CPR First Aid certification or completion within 3 months of hire.
