Job Responsibilities
  • Providing care at various post-acute facilities in your region
  • Administering medications while ensuring the "5 rights" of medication administration: the right person, drug, dose, route, and time
  • Preparing and administering medications to residents and patients
  • Monitoring residents' self-administration of medications and providing necessary reminders
  • Reporting any concerns to the supervising nurse
  • Maintaining records of vital signs and medication administration
  • Ensuring the confidentiality of resident information
  • Assisting residents with activities of daily living (ADLs)
Qualifications and Skills
  • Current certification as a Certified Medication Assistant
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Current certification as a state nursing assistant (CNA/LNA/STNA)
  • At least one year of experience in a nursing assistant role or related position
  • American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) training for healthcare providers
  • Strong understanding of medical and pharmacological terminology
