Job Summary

The RN will assist the provider throughout the clinic with duties including but not limited to:

  • Preparing patients for scheduled procedures.
  • Retrieving the initial basic condition of patients, creating nursing history, and reporting to the appropriate practitioner.
  • Assisting providers with examinations and procedures.
  • Monitoring and ensuring the accuracy of recording on patient medical records. Maintaining all required reports, records, statistics, etc.
  • Ensuring an adequate stock of supplies and well-maintained equipment.
  • Inspecting the area daily for compliance with policies, procedures, regulations, and standards and taking corrective action when violations occur.
  • Scheduling all outside patient appointments per physician order and relaying information accurately to patients.
  • Taking calls from hospitals/nursing homes and relaying appropriate information to the practitioner in a timely manner.
  • Assuring test results are received and relayed to the patient in a timely manner.
  • Completing the medical orientation checklist.
  • Initiating appropriate patient education.

Key Responsibilities
  • **Patient Preparation**: Prepare patients for scheduled procedures, ensuring their comfort and safety.
