Job Title: Registered Nurse
Job Summary
The Registered Nurse will play a vital role in assisting the provider throughout the clinic with various duties to ensure efficient patient care and clinic operations.
Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for scheduled procedures and assist in patient assessment.
- Accurately record patient history and perform basic triage procedures according to policy.
- Retrieve initial basic condition of patients, create nursing history, and report to the appropriate practitioner.
- Assist providers with examinations and procedures.
- Monitor and ensure accuracy of recordings on patient medical records, maintaining all required reports, records, and statistics.
- Ensure adequate stock of supplies and well-maintained equipment.
- Inspect area daily for compliance with policies, procedures, regulations, and standards, taking corrective action when necessary.
- Schedule all outside patient appointments per physician order and relay information accurately to patients.
- Take calls from hospitals/nursing homes and relay appropriate information to the practitioner in a timely manner.
- Ensure test results are received and relayed to patients in a timely manner.
- Complete medical orientation checklist.
- Initiate appropriate patient education.
Requirements
- Registered Nurse (RN) with state of TN or compact state licensure
- BLS Certified
- Proficiency in handling medical records and telehealth
- Strong phone communication skills
- Ability to work efficiently in an office setting
