Materials Planning Manager

Steel Partners LLC is seeking a highly skilled Materials Planning Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in supply chain management and be able to develop and implement strategies for sourcing direct and indirect materials.
Key Responsibilities:- Supply Chain Leadership: Provide effective development and coaching of direct reports to improve overall effectiveness of the supply chain team.
- Procurement and Sourcing: Source direct materials, indirect materials, and services that align demand to sourcing activities to support manufacturing operations.
- Inventory Management: Ensure correct and accurate inventory levels, including establishing, maintaining, and auditing Kanban processes.
- Production Planning: Manage production planning, including work order schedules and priorities, short- and long-term capacity planning, expedites, and reporting.
- Continuous Improvement: Assist with information and material flow improvements in various value streams and with the supply base.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Operations, or Business.
- Experience: Minimum of two-to-five years of relevant experience, preferably strong knowledge of metals and brazing materials.
- Leadership: Strong leader who can develop and lead a team, previous supervisory experience considered a plus.
- Communication: Strong professional communications, both written and verbal; collaborating behaviors that enable strong supplier and internal relationships.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in ERP (preferably Microsoft Dynamics 365 or AX) and Microsoft Office.
