About the Position

Napa County is seeking an experienced Mental Health Counselor to join the Access Unit of Behavioral Health of the Health and Human Services Agency. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing mental health services to individuals and families in need.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide mental health counseling services to individuals and families
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments to determine eligibility for Medi-Cal services
  • Develop and implement treatment plans to address mental health needs
  • Collaborate with other professionals to provide a comprehensive range of services
  • Provide daily back-up and support for Human Services entry programs
Requirements
  • Master's degree in social work, marriage and family counseling, clinical psychology, or a closely related field
  • Registration by the State of California Board of Behavioral Science Examiners
  • Two years of experience in mental health counseling services
  • Valid California Driver's License
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bilingual Spanish-speaking skills
  • Experience working with diverse populations
  • Knowledge of community resources and services
