Southland Holdings LLC is seeking a skilled Heavy Equipment Mechanic to join our team in DFW. As a Heavy Equipment Mechanic, you will be responsible for troubleshooting, maintaining, and repairing various pieces of equipment used in the Heavy Civil Construction Industry.

We provide a vehicle for this position. The candidate is responsible for providing their own tools, unless it is something specialty.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Work in the equipment yard and shop as needed
  • Diagnose and repair equipment issues
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks
  • Ensure all work is done safely and efficiently
Other Skills and Abilities:
  • Must be able to legally work in the United States
  • Must be willing to work in a drug-free environment and agree to a post-offer drug test
  • Must be willing to work safely and keep OSHA recordable incidents to a minimum
Education and/or Experience:
  • Minimum of technical training on diesel and/or heavy equipment experience
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general shop manuals, periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations
  • Ability to write reports and procedure manuals
Pay:

$25-$35 depending on experience
