Job Title: Heavy Equipment Service Technician

South Star JCB is seeking a skilled Heavy Equipment Service Technician to join our team in Fort Worth, TX. As a key member of our service team, you will be responsible for diagnosing and repairing various JCB-branded equipment, machines, and components.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Diagnose and repair equipment and components using advanced diagnostic tools and techniques.
  • Properly source and order parts to achieve superior efficiencies, customer satisfaction, and in support of company financial metrics.
  • Perform preventative maintenance on JCB equipment, as directed.
  • Communicate progress of repairs with the Service Manager.
  • Proper use of company-owned special tooling, including maintaining all company-owned assets in a clean and safe manner.
  • Completing all associated paperwork in a timely manner, including, but not limited to, work orders, parts orders, time, etc.
  • Adhere to all company policies and procedures.
  • Other duties and projects as assigned by company management.
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • 2+ years as a Heavy Equipment Technician is preferred, but not required.
  • Experience in relevant Engine, Hydraulic, Electrical and Emission System repair and maintenance.
  • Ability to learn and properly use JCB diagnostic tools.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Flexibility to work overtime, as needed, including occasional weekend work.
  • Must be able to pass pre-employment drug and alcohol screenings and background check.
  • Must own adequate tooling to perform all assigned duties.
Work Environment:
  • Regularly works in varied environments; indoors in unconditioned spaces around moving mechanical parts, or outdoors and possibly be exposed to weather extremes that include inclement weather, heat, cold, and humidity.
  • Dynamic and possibly elevated noise levels over extended periods.
  • Exposure to small quantities of chemicals, steam, high-pressure fluids, and high-speed rotating equipment as typically experienced by Heavy Equipment Service Technicians.

Pay: From $25.00 per hour, DOE.

Schedule: 8-hour shift - standard, Overtime as identified and authorized by management.

Education: High school or equivalent (Preferred).
