Job Summary

The Child Support Specialist is a critical role at YoungWilliams, responsible for ensuring the timely and efficient establishment, enforcement, and collection of child support orders. This position requires strong organizational and communication skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assess cases to determine the best course of action for establishing and enforcing child support orders, ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations.
  • Conduct interviews with custodial and non-custodial parents to gather information and determine service needs.
  • Access and analyze system data to obtain relevant case information and make informed decisions.
  • Prepare and process necessary legal and administrative documents for review and approval.
  • Monitor cases for delinquencies and modifications, taking enforcement actions as necessary.
  • Calculate child support amounts and arrears in accordance with Child Support Guidelines and DHS rules and regulations.
  • Provide excellent customer service, responding to telephone inquiries and attending to requests for service in a professional manner.

Requirements

An Associate's degree in a related field or relevant years of experience are required. Experience in child support enforcement or collections is preferred, as is familiarity with office environments and automated systems. Excellent organizational, written, and verbal communication skills are essential for success in this role.
