Key Responsibilities:
Evaluate and treat children suspected of experiencing abuse or neglect, utilizing expertise in child abuse prevention and recognition.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive care and support to affected children and their families, ensuring a cohesive approach to addressing child abuse.
Conduct thorough medical examinations and assessments, applying knowledge of child abuse patterns and behaviors.
Provide expert testimony in legal proceedings as needed, utilizing expertise in child abuse recognition and prevention.
Participate in educational initiatives and training on child abuse prevention and recognition, staying up-to-date on best practices and research.
Qualifications:
Board Certified (BC) or Board Eligible (BE) in Child Abuse Pediatrics by the American Board of Pediatrics, demonstrating expertise in child abuse prevention and recognition.
Board Certified (BC) in Pediatrics by the American Board of Pediatrics, showcasing a strong foundation in pediatric care.
Graduate of an ACGME-accredited Pediatric residency, ensuring a solid understanding of pediatric medicine.
Graduate of an ACGME-accredited Child Abuse Pediatric Fellowship, highlighting expertise in child abuse prevention and recognition.
Unrestricted Pennsylvania medical license at the time of employment, ensuring compliance with state regulations.
Ability to obtain and maintain DEA certification for the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, adhering to federal regulations.
