Position Overview

We are seeking dedicated and skilled professionals to contribute to nuclear and radiological engineering initiatives for Small Modular Reactor (SMR), Advanced Reactor (AR), and medical isotope facility design projects. These projects span various phases, including conceptual, preliminary, and detailed design. This role offers the chance to engage with cutting-edge developments in compact, modular nuclear power technologies.

Key Responsibilities

As a vital member of our multi-disciplinary engineering teams, you will focus on the design and engineering of enhancements and modifications to existing nuclear power facilities, covering the following areas:
  • Radiological dose assessments
  • Shielding design evaluations
  • Radiation source term assessments
  • Radiation monitoring system design
Additionally, your role will involve:
  • Participation in both domestic and international nuclear power projects
  • Travel to client locations and nuclear facility sites for project meetings
  • Addressing urgent issues and providing technical assistance to our nuclear sector clients
Work Arrangement

This position operates on a hybrid work schedule, requiring in-office attendance three days a week.

Qualifications

Note: This position does not offer sponsorship for work authorization in the U.S. Candidates must be U.S. citizens or permanent residents.
  • Bachelor's degree in Nuclear Engineering from an ABET-accredited institution; a Master's degree is preferred
  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in nuclear and radiological engineering within the nuclear power sector
  • Familiarity with nuclear computer software, including but not limited to:
    • RADTRAD
    • SCALE (ORIGEN)
    • MCNP
    • MicroShield
    • ARCON96
    • NRCDOSE (GASPAR, LADTAP, XOQDOQ)
    • PAVAN
    • GALE
    • WebTRAGIS / RADTRAN
    • MACCS
  • Experience in the design of nuclear radiation monitoring systems is advantageous but not mandatory
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license is preferred but not required
