Position Overview

We are seeking skilled and driven professionals to contribute to nuclear and radiological engineering initiatives for Small Modular Reactor (SMR), Advanced Reactor (AR), and medical isotope facility design projects at various stages including conceptual, preliminary, and detailed design. This role presents a unique opportunity to engage with the future of compact, modular nuclear energy solutions and advanced nuclear technologies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with multi-disciplinary engineering teams on the design and enhancement of existing nuclear power facilities, focusing on:
    • Radiological dose assessments
    • Shielding design evaluations
    • Radiation source term analysis
    • Radiation monitoring system development
  • Participate in both domestic and international nuclear power projects
  • Engage in travel to client locations and nuclear facility sites for project updates
  • Address urgent technical challenges and provide expert support to our nuclear sector clients
Work Arrangement

This role follows a hybrid work model, requiring in-office attendance three days per week.

Qualifications
  • U.S. citizenship or permanent resident status is required for this position.
  • Bachelor's degree in Nuclear Engineering from an ABET-accredited institution; a Master's degree is preferred.
  • At least 10 years of relevant nuclear and radiological experience within the nuclear power sector.
  • Familiarity with nuclear simulation software, including but not limited to:
    • RADTRAD
    • SCALE (ORIGEN)
    • MCNP
    • MicroShield
    • ARCON96
    • NRCDOSE (GASPAR, LADTAP, XOQDOQ)
    • PAVAN
    • GALE
    • WebTRAGIS / RADTRAN
    • MACCS
  • Experience in the design of nuclear radiation monitoring systems is advantageous but not mandatory.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license is preferred but not required.
