Job Title: Radiologic Technologist

Job Specialty: Radiology X-Ray

Job Duration: 12 months

Shift: 12-hour shifts, 1:00 PM - 1:00 AM (7 days on/7 days off) with required call

Guaranteed Hours: 36/48 hours rotating every two weeks

Experience: Minimum of 2 years

License: Texas Radiologic Technologist license

Certifications: BLS, ARRT

Must-Have: Must be a motivated individual

Job Responsibilities:

  • Perform general X-Ray duties as outlined by the radiology department.
  • Operate within a department with 4 rooms, 5 c-arms, and 2 fluoro surgical suites.
  • Common types of imaging include XR, Fluoro, and surgery cases.
  • Utilize Meditech for EMR and Synapse for PACS.
  • Work with equipment from GE, Siemens, and Dornier for XR and Fluoro, and GE, Siemens, and Philips for C-arms.
  • Rarely start IVs when applicable.
  • Adhere to the departmental dress code: black scrubs (not provided).
  • Complete on-the-job orientation.
  • Be available for weekend and holiday shifts if scheduled.
  • Participate in on-call duties from 5:30 PM to 7:00 AM, two days in the 36-hour week.
  • Respond to intra-departmental calls as necessary.
  • Supervised by Radiology Supervisor or Lead Technologist.

Important Notes:

  • Hospital may cancel up to three times per contract, with full or partial shift cancellation options.
