About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Registered Nurse to join our team at Community Medical Center. As a Surgical Nurse Specialist, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and contributing to the success of our perioperative department.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care in the perioperative setting
  • Provide expert care and education to patients, acting as a patient advocate, leader, and mentor for assistive personnel
  • Manage patient loads in assigned timelines, utilizing the nursing process to prioritize tasks and ensure efficient care delivery
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans, promoting a culture of safety and quality
  • Participate in ongoing education and professional development to stay current with best practices and advancements in perioperative nursing
Requirements
  • Current state RN license and associate's degree from an accredited nursing school
  • BLS for Healthcare Provider upon hire, with ACLS certification within three months of hire
  • Recent experience within the last five years in the perioperative field, with OR RN experience and moderate sedation course completion within three months of hire
  • CNOR certification and OR Charge Nurse experience preferred
