Role: Surgical Technician - Operating Room
Available Positions:
- Full Time 1.0 FTE Day Shift
- Full Time 1.0 FTE Night Shift
- Full Time 0.9 FTE Evening Shift
- Full Time 0.9 FTE Variable Shift
- Part Time 0.8 FTE Variable Shift
- Part Time 0.8 FTE Evening Shift
- Part Time 0.75 FTE Evening Shift
Key Responsibilities:
The Surgical Technician is responsible for:
- Being well-prepared and knowledgeable about the surgical procedures being performed.
- Establishing and maintaining a sterile environment.
- Assisting the surgeon as needed during operations.
- Supporting the circulating nurse and collaborating with other surgical team members.
- Maintaining familiarity with, and proper care of, all operating room equipment and instruments.
- Taking responsibility for the care of specimens and performing additional related tasks as assigned.

Qualifications:
Required:
- Completion of a Surgical Technician program.
- National Certification as a Surgical Technologist from the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting upon hire.
- Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association upon hire.
Preferred:
- At least one year of experience in an Operating Room setting.
