We are currently seeking a talented Laboratory Support Analyst – IT Services. This role is a contract opportunity with potential for long-term engagement. Below is a detailed overview of the position.
Job Responsibilities:
- Establish and nurture collaborative relationships with Lab System Owners, IT Teams, and Management.
- Maintain and update the Regulatory Asset Management systems inventory, including lab equipment, PCs, software, and relevant environmental data.
- Manage daily project-related communications with the team.
- Ensure compliance by adhering to Standard Operating Procedures, Job Aids, and Work Instructions.
- Act as a technical Subject Matter Expert (SME).
- Perform user account setups and password resets in controlled environments.
- Address non-change control break-fix issues.
- Execute Change Controls as necessary.
- Conduct like-for-like replacements, such as hard-drive cloning.
- Assist with Preventative Maintenance tasks as needed.
- Support the execution of Change Controls.
- Participate in PER requests, SOP Field Testing, and SLC Review.
- Assist with investigations and software upgrades, as well as onboarding new equipment.
- Occasionally provide backup support for the On-Call Support rotation.
Key Qualifications:
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to effectively listen to and interpret client needs.
- Professional demeanor, excellent listening abilities, superior analytical skills, and strong verbal and written communication skills are essential.
- Proven ability to troubleshoot complex technology issues.
- Effective time management skills with minimal supervision to meet objectives.
- Capability to identify, track, and complete tasks for multiple projects within specified timeframes.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- 2-3 years of relevant professional experience in system support.
- Experience with scientific instrumentation in controlled environments is preferred.
- 2 years of experience in a laboratory setting is advantageous.
- Ability to remain stationary for extended periods and perform extensive walking within facilities.
- Occasional travel between sites may be required.
- Must be able to navigate inside and outside of labs requiring clean room training and gowning.
- Frequent operation of instruments and tools, requiring bending, squatting, and stretching.
- Regular use of computers and office machinery.
- Specific vision abilities required include the ability to observe details at close range, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
