Position Overview

The SCI Hotels LLC is in search of enthusiastic individuals who are passionate about delivering exceptional guest experiences. The primary role of the Front Desk Clerk is to ensure that guests have a pleasant stay by providing professional and friendly front desk services. Available Positions: We are looking to fill both full-time and part-time front desk roles to cover various shifts, including morning and evening hours, as well as weekends.

Key Skills & Qualifications:

  • Ability to deliver professional and courteous guest service.
  • Strong time management skills and capability to work independently.
  • Excellent organizational skills, multitasking ability, and keen attention to detail.
  • Proficient in understanding and following verbal and written instructions, with effective communication skills.
  • Maintain a positive and professional demeanor when addressing guest inquiries.
  • Basic computer literacy and mathematical skills are required.
  • Prior customer service experience is preferred but not mandatory.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Assist guests in a courteous and professional manner.
  • Perform job duties in a cost-effective manner while adhering to budgetary guidelines.
  • Greet guests and handle hotel registration and transactions promptly, ensuring confidentiality of guest information.
  • Stay informed about hotel services, accommodations, and local attractions to assist guests effectively.
  • Conduct all guest accounting functions according to established hotel procedures to ensure accuracy.
  • Follow credit and inventory control procedures to minimize revenue loss.
  • Utilize sales techniques to promote the property, enhancing occupancy and average rate.
  • Operate the telephone system according to brand standards, maintaining proper etiquette.
  • Accurately manage telephone and walk-in reservations.
  • Monitor printing and faxing tasks to ensure timely attention to received documents.
  • Maintain cleanliness in the lobby area and assist with laundry duties as necessary.
  • Clear snow from the hotel entrance and sidewalks when required.
  • Act as the manager on duty in the absence of senior management.
  • Understand and apply hotel safety and security protocols to ensure a safe environment for guests and staff.
  • Keep supervisors informed of any significant issues or unusual occurrences for prompt resolution.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
