Job Title: Registered Nurse, 1:1 Direct CareDepartment: School Health Services

This position is responsible for providing direct nursing services to students in all local district schools with special health needs. The Registered Nurse, 1:1 Direct Care, will work closely with the multidisciplinary team to develop and implement Student Health Management Plans (SHMPs) and provide a safe and supportive learning environment for students.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement SHMPs for identified students, including nursing care plans, emergency plans, and delegation or assignment to school staff.
  • Observe and assess student condition needs continuously, re-evaluating student health status and making recommendations for modifications to medical treatment and nursing management as needed.
  • Act as liaison between parents, teachers, community agencies, and medical providers to ensure effective communication and make recommendations regarding the nature, scope, and intensity of services.
  • Participate as a member of the multidisciplinary team and make recommendations regarding student health/educational plans for IEP/IFSP.
Requirements:
  • Valid Oregon license to practice as a Registered Nurse.
  • Recent experience (within the last five years) working in a hospital or community/home health clinical setting with chronic or technology-supported health problems.
  • Demonstrated effective communication, leadership, and time management skills.
  • Valid driver's license and vehicle available for use.
  • Current certification in CPR.
