Overview

Oregon Health & Science University is committed to developing stellar nursing professionals through a commitment to lifelong learning and teamwork-centered care. Every patient matters, and healthcare professionals can deliver personal and individualized care to all. Our primary populations in our 31-bed unit include a vast variety of chronic illnesses, including Cystic Fibrosis, Heart Failure, COPD, ESRD, ESLD, DM2, substance use disorder, and other comorbidities such as behavioral health. Many of our patients are houseless or struggle socioeconomically and often feel that no one really cares about them as humans. Our primary teams are Family Medicine, General Medicine, and Hospitalist. We collaborate with PT/OT, Dieticians, Social Work, Case Management, Speech/Language Therapists, and other members of the multi-disciplinary healthcare team to provide exceptional care for our patients.
