Key Responsibilities
  • Provide friendly and welcoming customer service to all customers
  • Maintain awareness of all promotions and advertisements
  • Accurately and efficiently ring on point of sale devices and accurately maintain all cash at the registers
  • Bag groceries and merchandise carefully
  • Maintain orderly appearance of register, keep supplies stocked, and follow side work lists as applicable to shift
  • Ensure curbside orders are picked with accuracy and timeliness as assigned
  • Let appropriate people know of pricing errors, PLU errors, un-priced items and returned products
  • Ensure department sanitation, cleanliness and safety standards are met
Requirements
  • Ability to provide friendly face-to-face customer service in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to learn and memorize price look up codes
  • Knowledge of Co-op products preferred
  • Demonstrated skill in money handling and operating the POS system
  • Ability to accurately explain how membership works and benefits of membership
  • Attention to detail and multitasking skills
  • Ability to speak and comprehend English well, multi-lingual is great
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
