Position Overview:
As a pivotal member of the Fulfillment Engineering team, the Senior Manager of Automation Engineering will spearhead the engineering design for innovative projects. This role encompasses the responsibility of finalizing comprehensive mechanical and electrical schematics for new initiatives and expansions.
Key Responsibilities:
In this role, you will be tasked with the following:
- Data Analysis and Insights: Utilize advanced data analysis tools to navigate complex datasets, formulate and test hypotheses, and derive insights that inform strategic decisions.
- Process Flow Optimization: Analyze and quantify the expected outcomes of supply chain strategies, while managing supplier relationships and understanding logistics challenges.
- Automation Implementation: Address common challenges in integrating new automation designs, collaborating with teams to assess project performance, and documenting implementation strategies.
- System Design and Promotion: Advocate for the adoption of automation technologies, oversee implementation and training, and conduct cost-benefit analyses to ensure effective machinery use.
- Mechatronics Expertise: Develop 2D and 3D representations of designs, employing visualization techniques for effective drafting.
- Project Leadership: Manage project tasks, identify risks, establish communication protocols, and create strategic roadmaps to optimize project outcomes.
- Continuous Improvement Initiatives: Enhance critical workflows and establish controls to streamline key processes.
- Financial Acumen: Provide guidance on financial tools and techniques, assisting in the development of robust business cases.
We value candidates who possess:
- A Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in supply chain and logistics, specifically in detailed design.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and a strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, and control schematics.
- Experience leading cross-functional teams through design reviews and approval processes.
- A Master's degree and/or Professional Engineer (PE) certification is preferred.
