Job Description

A Contract Administrator, or Contract Specialist, manages and reviews business contracts for financial agreements like company purchases, rental agreements, new hire contracts and business proposals.

Their duties include negotiating contract terms and conditions with each party, analyzing potential risks involved with certain contract agreements and helping employees and leadership better understand the information outlined in the contracts.

Fundamental knowledge of construction techniques, building materials, standards, and equipment is required. The ability to read, analyze and interpret legal documents, financial reports and technical documents is also necessary.

Additionally, the ability to apply arithmetic concepts such as fractions, ratios and proportions to real scenarios is required. Basic understanding of purchasing and supply chain procedures, proficiency in common office applications, and good understanding of standard operating procedures (SOPs) and occupational, safety and environmental regulations and law are also necessary.

Time management and problem-solving skills are essential for this role. Verbal and written communication skills are also required. MUST HAVE PD2 SOFTWARE EXPERIENCE AND A TS/SCI CLEARANCE TO BE CONSIDERED.

Contract specialist experience creating, examining, and monitoring contractual agreements for and materials or labor suppliers is required. Working knowledge of legislative and regulatory issues that may be related to the contracts you are overseeing is also necessary. Handle breach of contracts in a timely manner.

Serve as the main liaison with outside contracting representatives. Develop and implement effective procurement proposals. Research regulations to ensure contracts are updated and in compliance with laws.

Coordinate with clients to guarantee terms of contracts are fulfilled in compliance with the terms and regulations. Proven work experience as a Contracts Specialist or similar role is required. Excellent oral and written communication skills are also necessary.

In-depth knowledge of procurement regulations, contract documents and legal specifications is required. Outstanding negotiation and interpersonal skills are also necessary. Ability to resolve client complaints and concerns.

Relevant training and/or certifications as a Contracts Specialist are also necessary. Position pays up to $42 an hour, follows a 5/40 schedule, on-site, on 1st shift, and requires candidate to have a Top-Secret security clearance
