Job Title: Banquet Server

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Banquet Server to join our team at Castaway Restaurant and Event Center. As a Banquet Server, you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional service to our guests during various private events, weddings, and banquets.

Responsibilities:
  • Greet guests with a warm and welcoming demeanor.
  • Assist guests with seating arrangements and provide information about the event and menu options as needed.
  • Ensure that all guest requests and special dietary needs are met promptly and accurately.
  • Assist in the setup and breakdown of private event rooms, including arranging tables, chairs, linens, and table settings according to event specifications.
  • Prepare and arrange all necessary utensils, glassware, and tableware.
  • Serve food and beverages to guests according to established standards and procedures.
  • Maintain a thorough knowledge of the menu items, ingredients, and preparation methods.
  • Anticipate guests' needs with a proactive attitude and approach.
  • Offer suggestions and recommendations to guests based on their preferences.
Requirements:
  • Previous experience as a banquet server in a similar upscale dining or banquet facility is preferred.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
  • Attention to detail and a strong commitment to providing outstanding guest experiences.
  • A positive attitude and a willingness to work as part of a team.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
  • Must be able to stand, walk, and carry trays for extended periods.
