Family Network Development

The Home for Little Wanderers is seeking a Part-Time Family Network Advocate to join its team of professionals dedicated to creating better futures for kids. As a Family Network Advocate, you will work in partnership with Program Leadership to develop innovative programs that support families in need.

  • Provide counseling and therapeutic support to clients, addressing issues such as family communication, parenting skills, substance abuse, domestic violence, self-abusive behavior, and past trauma.
  • Coordinate appropriate resources and services for clients and families, acting as an advocate for the client.
  • Administer written assessments, summary reports, documentation, and safety planning to appropriate parties in a timely, well-written manner.

What You Will Bring

  • Bachelor's Degree in Social Work, Early Childhood Education, Criminal Justice, or Psychology.
  • Experience with behavior management systems, treatment planning, crisis intervention, case management, and providing individual, group, and/or family therapy.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with knowledge of Department Children and Families, Department of Mental Health, and other local child and family advocate agencies.
