Role Summary:
The individual in this unarmed role will assist the Security Manager in overseeing visitor management and security functions across various facilities. Flexibility in scheduling is essential to cover for other security personnel as needed.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the Security Manager in daily operations and strategic planning.
- Supervise Security Guards and ensure compliance with safety protocols.
- Maintain and update records related to security operations and contractor services.
- Assist in the management of departmental budgets and resource allocation.
- Conduct routine facility checks and report any safety or security issues.
- Coordinate emergency response efforts and provide security escorts as necessary.
- Monitor security systems and assist in incident investigations.
- Engage in inter-departmental communication to facilitate security operations.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in law enforcement, public safety, or security operations.
- Supervisory experience is preferred.
- Valid Security Guard Card or application submitted.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Current certifications in First Aid, CPR, and AED, or ability to obtain within 6 months.
Skills and Abilities:
- Strong judgment and decision-making skills, especially in emergency situations.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Capacity to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.
Work Environment:
- This role may require working indoors and outdoors, with occasional exposure to varying temperatures.
- Must be available for varied work schedules, including evenings and weekends.
