Position Overview:
Colwen Hotels is in search of a dedicated and personable Front Desk Supervisor to enhance our team at Renaissance Patriot Place. This role is pivotal in overseeing the front desk and night audit teams, ensuring exceptional satisfaction for both guests and team members. The ideal candidate will possess prior experience in front desk operations, a strong commitment to customer service, and the capability to mentor and develop our staff.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in the recruitment and effective supervision of front office personnel.
  • Regularly evaluate staff performance to ensure compliance with established protocols.
  • Manage the check-in and check-out processes, verify billing, and accommodate special requests.
  • Possess comprehensive knowledge of hotel amenities and local attractions to assist guests.
  • Foster open and collaborative relationships with direct reports and hotel management.
  • Adhere to Federal and State Labor regulations.
  • Investigate and resolve any guest complaints regarding service or accommodations.
  • Monitor financial transactions and payroll records for accuracy.
  • Continuously analyze processes for efficiency and improvement.
  • Guide and support the front office team in managing occupancy, guest service, and expenses.
  • Identify service challenges and trends, facilitating innovative solutions to enhance guest satisfaction.
  • Balance cost management with outstanding guest service and employee satisfaction.
  • Maintain strict key control and uphold safety and security standards.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
  • Associate degree or equivalent experience in hospitality.
  • Previous experience with OnQ is highly preferred.
  • Proven leadership abilities.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Dependable, with the ability to manage multiple tasks under pressure.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Intermediate to advanced proficiency in computer applications.
  • Familiarity with common software programs.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
