Job Responsibilities:

The Patient Care Technician plays a vital role in supporting patient care by performing various tasks under the supervision of a Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse.

  • Assists in gathering patient data.
  • Delivers appropriate care to assigned patients.
  • Ensures patient care aligns with the Patient's Bill of Rights.
  • Communicates patient needs to nursing staff promptly.
  • Organizes and prioritizes patient care effectively.
  • Completes assigned tasks and patient care duties in a timely manner.
  • Reinforces patient education and instructions.
  • Accurately documents patient information in medical records and other required forms.
  • Performs treatments and procedures in accordance with established hospital protocols.

Qualifications:

A High School Diploma or GED is required.

Candidates must have successfully completed a certified CNA Training Program, or be enrolled in a nursing program having completed the fundamentals of nursing, including clinical rotations, or possess relevant experience as a nursing assistant or personal care aide.

Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association is mandatory.

Experience in an Emergency Department setting is preferred.

Proficiency in computer skills is essential, along with the ability to read and write basic English.


Compensation:

The estimated salary range for this position is USD $26.40 per year. This range serves as a good faith estimate and actual compensation will be influenced by various factors, including the candidate's qualifications, skills, competencies, and experience.
