Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement an internal audit strategy aligned with the organization's business objectives.
  • Conduct comprehensive audit examinations and present detailed reports to the Senior Leadership Team and the Audit Committee.
  • Lead the internal audit team and promote continuous improvement and professional development.
  • Monitor and comply with evolving regulatory requirements for auditing and financial reporting.

Qualifications

  • Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with major coursework in accounting, finance, business administration, computer or management information systems, or a related field.
  • Eight years of relevant experience, including five years of managerial experience within the financial services industry.
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Internal Auditor (CIA).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Post-graduate degree from an accredited college or university with major coursework in accounting, finance, business administration, computer or management information systems, or a related field.
  • Pension/investment experience.
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Certified Internal Auditor (CIA), Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA).

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities

  • Strong knowledge of internal control frameworks, risk assessment methodologies, and audit standards.
  • Excellent leadership, verbal and written communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage and lead a team of audit professionals effectively.
  • In-depth understanding of financial markets, investment products, and related regulatory requirements.
