Amazon Prime Video is seeking a highly skilled Senior Data Engineer to join our Cloud Data, Insight and Analytics Team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and supporting an analytical data infrastructure that provides ad hoc access to large datasets and computing power.
Key Responsibilities- Design and implement data engineering solutions to complex questions and play an integral role in strategic decision-making.
- Manage AWS resources and interface with other technology teams to extract, transform, and load data from a wide variety of data sources using SQL and AWS big data technologies.
- Explore and learn the latest AWS technologies to provide new capabilities and increase efficiency.
- Work with external data vendors to onboard data into existing infrastructure.
- Collaborate with Analysts, Business Intelligence Engineers, and Data Scientists to implement advanced analytics algorithms that exploit our rich data sets for statistical analysis, prediction, clustering, and machine learning.
- Help continually improve ongoing reporting and analysis processes, simplifying self-service support for customers.
- 5+ years of data engineering experience.
- Experience with data modeling, warehousing, and building ETL pipelines.
- Experience with SQL and at least one modern scripting or programming language, such as Python, Java, Scala, or NodeJS.
- Experience mentoring team members on best practices.
- Experience with big data technologies such as Hadoop, Hive, Spark, EMR.

CompensationThe base pay for this position ranges from $139,100/year in our lowest geographic market up to $240,500/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
