The Educational Support Specialist I- Float will assist lead educators in catering to a diverse group of students, including those with typical and neuro-diverse needs. The role involves supporting the execution of educational programs and customizing instruction to accommodate the unique academic, medical, developmental, and technological requirements of each student.

The salary range for Educational Support Specialist positions is between $17.41-$28.18 per hour, based on qualifications and experience.

Responsibilities
  • Aid the supervising educator in delivering instruction and assessing classroom activities in line with individualized student plans, employing effective strategies for both academic and behavioral success.
  • Complete instructional tasks as delegated by the supervising educator and administrative staff.
  • Provide guidance, oversight, and classroom management under the direction of the supervising educator.
  • Implement behavioral strategies and assignments for students during both instructional and non-instructional periods.
  • Utilize instructional and non-instructional time professionally, adhering to administrative guidelines.
  • Engage in and contribute to professional development training and staff meetings.
  • Support and lead curricular and extracurricular initiatives that enhance student life and foster a positive educational environment.
  • Assist in integrating technology into instructional design and delivery as directed by the supervising educator.
Qualifications

EDUCATION:

An Associate's degree or completion of two years of college equivalency is required.

EXPERIENCE:

  • A minimum of 3 years of experience working in a classroom setting with students with disabilities is required.
  • Experience with pediatric populations is preferred.

RELATED TRAINING:

Candidates must possess and maintain cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) certification.
